Skype, eBay’s VoIP prodigy, has announced the acquisition of Sonorit Holding AS, which owns smaller US-based VoIP rival, Camino Networks Inc.

This deal lets Skype add several online voice technology experts to its existing team of engineers.

Sonorit, based in San Francisco, boasts an intercontinental presence, with offices in Denmark and Sweden. The owners of the company are expected to receive about 700,000 shares of eBay stock, with a market value of around $27 million.
