Broadview Networks, a Northeast communications provider, has expanded its deployment of the E- and M-series routing platforms from Juniper Networks. The expanded platforms will help the company migrate to a next-generation IP/MPLS-based network through increased flexibility and support for advanced IP-based services.
The platforms will not only enable Broadview to meet dynamic network requirements, but also offer reliability, performance and needed scalability. Broadview already offers business and wholesale customers a suite of voice, high-speed data and integrated access solutions. Services include hosted and premises-based VoIP systems, DSL and T1/T3 communications products and services. The expanded routing platforms are being supplied through Juniper partner Solunet.
The E-series Broadband Services Routers and M-series multiservice routing platforms from Juniper provide a portfolio of advanced features to combine IP/MPLS capabilities with exceptional performance. The platforms offer support for Layer 2 and Layer 3 IP-based services simultaneously, and offer a non-disruptive migration path for service providers that want to take advantage of a multi-service network using existing networking equipment.
“Juniper’s best-in-class platforms are an integral part of Broadview’s strategic initiative to deliver next-generation, converged IP services over an efficient MPLS-based network,” said Ken Shulman, chief technology officer and chief information officer of Broadview Networks.
“In combination with our softswitch and application server deployments, our Juniper MPLS network enables the delivery of multiple, advanced IP-based services over a single network infrastructure, while differentiating between different service and application types based on priority and service plan options. And, with our unique software automation capabilities and patented operations support systems and processes, and our certified excellence in customer support, Broadview can deliver these new services with industry-leading flexibility, transparency and support.”
“We are very pleased that Broadview chose Juniper Networks routing platforms to form the foundation of its multiservice IP/MPLS network,” said Shailesh Shukla, vice president of service provider marketing and partnerships, Juniper Networks.
“As an integrated solutions provider, they recognized the need to build an open, agile, and customized network infrastructure for the delivery of advanced IP-based services, and Juniper delivered the features required to enable this next phase of their network evolution.”
